Moses — A Life Anchored in God’s Presence

Moses stands as one of the clearest examples of a man who did not just serve God—he walked closely with Him.
“The Lord would speak to Moses face to face, as one speaks to a friend.”
Exodus 33:11
This was not casual—it was cultivated. Moses developed a lifestyle where God’s presence was not occasional, but central.

The Priority of Presence
Moses made a defining statement:
“If Your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here.”
Exodus 33:15
This reveals his heart:
He valued God’s presence above progress.
He understood that success without God is failure in disguise.

The Discipline of Encounter
Moses created intentional space for God:
“Now Moses used to take a tent and pitch it outside the camp…”
Exodus 33:7
He didn’t wait for encounters—he positioned himself for them.
This teaches us that spiritual depth is not accidental—it is intentional.

Transformation Through Presence
“When Moses came down from Mount Sinai… his face was radiant.”
Exodus 34:29
Time with God changed him visibly.
The presence of God does not leave you the same—it transforms:
•        your thinking
•        your character
•        your countenance

Why Moses’ Life Matters for You
Moses shows us that intimacy with God is not reserved for a few—it is available to those who prioritize it.

Evidence of a Life Rooted in God’s Presence
•        Dependence on God for direction
•        Sensitivity to God’s voice
•        Courage to lead beyond natural ability
•        Visible transformation in character and life

Final Thought
Moses did not become great because of his ability—he became great because he refused to live without God’s presence.
