The Word That Cannot Be Defeated

Throughout Scripture, one truth remains constant:

Nothing has ever defeated God's Word.

Not death.

Not sickness.

Not demons.

Not Satan.

Not time.

Not impossible situations.

The Word has always prevailed.

When Lazarus had been dead for four days, Jesus spoke.

"Lazarus, come forth."

Death obeyed.

When the man at Bethesda had suffered for thirty-eight years, Jesus spoke.

"Rise, take up your bed and walk."

Thirty-eight years surrendered to one spoken Word.

Perhaps the greatest demonstration of the authority of God's Word came during Jesus' temptation.

Three times Satan tempted Him.

Three times Jesus answered the same way.
"It is written..."

Jesus did not argue.

He did not reason.

He did not negotiate.

He stood upon what had already been spoken.

The devil understands something many believers have forgotten.

The written Word carries authority.

Long before Jesus was born, Scripture declared:

A virgin would conceive.

A forerunner would prepare the way.

The Messiah would suffer.

The Messiah would rise again.

Centuries passed.

Kings came and went.

Empires rose and fell.

Yet every promise God made was fulfilled exactly as He declared.

If God has never failed to keep His Word...

Why should we doubt Him today?

Circumstances may change.

People may fail.

Feelings may fluctuate.

But God's Word remains forever.

Stand upon it.

Speak it.

Believe it.

Father,

Strengthen my confidence in Your Word.

Teach me to answer fear, temptation, and uncertainty with what You have spoken.

May Your Word become my foundation in every season.
