Devotional Thought
Jesus said there are two kinds of builders: the wise builder and the foolish builder.
Both heard the Word. The difference was not hearing. The difference was obedience.
The wise man heard the words of Jesus and put them into practice. The foolish man heard the same words but did not do them.
This is a serious truth: hearing alone does not build a strong life. Obedience does.
Storms will come to every life. Pressure will come. Temptation will come. Delays will come. Disappointment will come. But the life built on obedience to Christ will stand.
Many people want strong lives but weak foundations. They want peace without obedience, fruit without discipline, and dominion without submission.
Jesus teaches that the foundation of a stable life is not just knowing the Word but practicing the Word.
In the Dominion Series, we learned that authority flows from intimacy with God. But intimacy must produce obedience. If God’s Word is not shaping how we live, decide, speak, forgive, serve, and lead, then we are not building wisely.
